Understanding Your Type
In Human Design, your Type is determined by the definition of your centers and the channels that connect them. Your Type defines your overall energy strategy and the correct way for you to navigate life with the least resistance.
There are five Types in Human Design, each with its own strategy, authority, and signature themes. Following your Type's strategy is the first step to living your design and experiencing alignment.
Generator
Generators are the builders and life-force of the planet. With their defined Sacral Center, they have consistent access to life energy and the capacity for sustained work. Their strategy is to wait for things to come to them and respond, rather than initiating.

Manifesting Generator
Manifesting Generators combine the creative energy of Generators with some of the initiating qualities of Manifestors. They have a defined Sacral Center and at least one direct channel to a motor center. They're designed to respond and then move quickly into action.

Projector
Projectors are the guides and directors of energy. With an undefined Sacral Center, they don't have consistent access to their own energy but can deeply understand and direct the energy of others. Their strategy is to wait for recognition and invitation before sharing their wisdom.

Manifestor
Manifestors are the initiators of the Human Design system. With a defined Throat Center connected to a motor, they have the ability to make things happen. Their strategy is to inform others before taking action to minimize resistance.

Reflector
Reflectors are the mirrors of society, with all nine centers undefined. They sample and reflect the energy around them, giving them a unique perspective on the health of their community. Their strategy is to wait a full lunar cycle before making major decisions.
